2024 World Car Of The Year: Top 3 Finalists Announced

The top three finalists for the 2024 World Car of the Year have been announced! Alongside, the World Car Awards has also announced the top three finalists in each category. The overall winner as well as the winner of each category will be announced on March 27 at the New York International Auto Show 2024. 

The World Car Awards consists of more than 100 distinguished journalists from over 30 countries. Siddharth Vinayak Patankar, Editor-in-Chief, Acko Drive, is now the Chairman of the World Car Awards and is also the first Asian journalist to hold this position.

2024 World Car of the Year

For the 2024 edition of the World Car of the Year, the finalists consist only of electric vehicles. They include the BYD Seal, Kia EV9 and the Volvo EX30. Interestingly, since 2021, electric vehicles have bagged the top honours at the World Car Awards. The Volkswagen ID.4, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Hyundai Ioniq 6 have won this laurel in 2021, 2022 and 2023, respectively.
