The Premium and Performance trims of the BYD Seal receive a modest price increase of ₹15,000.
BYD India has officially announced the prices for the updated 2025 Seal electric sedan, following the opening of bookings in March this year. The updated Seal retains its competitive pricing structure, starting at ₹41 lakh (ex-showroom) — identical to the 2024 model — with the top-end variant priced at ₹53.15 lakh (ex-showroom), reflecting a modest increase of around ₹15,000.
Variant | Old Price | New Price | Price Difference |
---|---|---|---|
Dynamic | ₹41 lakh | ₹41 lakh | NA |
Premium | ₹45.50 lakh | ₹45.70 lakh | ₹15000 |
Performance | ₹53 lakh | ₹53.15 lakh | ₹15000 |
The 2025 model year (MY) Seal introduces several mechanical and feature enhancements over its predecessor. Key among these updates is the adoption of a new lightweight lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) low-voltage battery. BYD claims the new battery offers an extended 15-year lifespan, enhancing long-term ownership value.
Additional feature upgrades across the lineup include a powered sunshade for the sunroof, silver-plated treatment for the glass canopy to improve heat insulation, and wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The updated Seal also benefits from an enhanced air-conditioning system equipped with an air purifier to deliver better cabin cooling and air quality.
On the variant front, the Premium trim now gains frequency-selective damping, a feature previously exclusive to the top-spec Performance variant. Meanwhile, the Performance trim receives a significant upgrade with the introduction of BYD’s Disus-C adaptive suspension system, aimed at offering improved ride comfort and dynamic handling.
