The C5 Aircross 2025 is expected to be officially unveiled in the first half of 2025, likely between May and June.
The 2025 Citroën C5 Aircross images have been unofficially leaked before its market launch. They showcase a design that stays true to the concept initially presented at the Paris Motor Show. This latest iteration of the SUV significantly increases in size and introduces a range of electrified powertrains.
Citroën previously stated that the production model would closely resemble the concept, with approximately 90 per cent of its design elements retained. The leaked patent drawings confirm that the vehicle maintains much of the avant-garde styling presented in Paris. The new C5 Aircross incorporates elements from the OLI concept and design influences from the redesigned C4 and the new C3.
Key design features include the shape of the roof and the rear pillar, along with a distinct rear storage window accentuated by a recess at the top. Unlike some competitors, Citroën has opted for conventional door handles instead of retractable ones. The rear of the vehicle stands out with an unconventional taillight design, where lighting functions are separated rather than integrated.
One of the most significant updates in this second-generation C5 Aircross is its size increase. The SUV has grown by approximately 115 mm in length compared to the outgoing model, further differentiating it from its Stellantis counterparts, such as the Opel Grandland. This increase in dimensions suggests a more spacious interior, potentially enhancing passenger comfort and cargo capacity.
Citroën has announced that the C5 Aircross will be offered exclusively with electrified powertrains. The options will include petrol-electric hybrids, plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions, and an all-electric variant featuring four-wheel drive and an estimated range of over 600 km.
The C5 Aircross 2025 is expected to be officially unveiled in the first half of 2025, likely between May and June. The market launch is scheduled for November 2025. While Citroën has no immediate plans to offer a seven-seat configuration in continental Europe, the SUV will be available in multiple international markets, including Argentina and India later this year.
