Honda Grom is currently only available in the international market only
Honda has unveiled a refreshed version of its popular Grom motorcycle for the 2025 model year. This update, however, will be exclusive to overseas markets, with North America being a confirmed region. The focus of this update lies in design aesthetics and expanding customisation options for owners.
The 2025 Honda Grom departs from the curvier design language of its predecessor. It adopts a more streamlined and understated visual approach. It retains the core design elements that have contributed to the Grom's enduring popularity.
Three distinct variants will be offered: Standard, SP, and ABS. Each variant has a unique colour scheme, with the Standard model available in Candy Blue, Pearl White, or Cherry Red. The Grom SP features a sophisticated Matte Black Metallic finish, while the ABS model comes clad in a timeless Pearl White.
Beyond the revised colour palette, the 2025 Honda Grom incorporates an LED headlight and taillight assemblies. An optional belly pan is also available for those seeking to add their Honda Grom with better protection from the engine.
The proven performance aspect of the Honda Grom remains unchanged, thanks to the continued use of a 124cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. This dependable power plant delivers 10 bhp and 11.1Nm. The engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox.
The new Honda Grom upholds its reputation for a straightforward and reliable chassis. USD front fork and a monoshock suspension are supposed to have better handling characteristics. The braking duties are entrusted to a 220 mm front disc brake and a 190 mm rear disc brake. Both wheels measure 12 inches in diameter and are wrapped in 120/70 front and 130/70 rear tyres.
The base model carries a starting price of $3,599 (approximately ₹ 3 lakh). Opting for the SP variant incurs an additional USD 100, while the ABS model commands a USD 200 premium over the base price. We don’t think the 2025 Honda Grom is a model which will do well in India as the aspiration value for such small-capacity bikes is not much. People here look at 125 cc like a commuter and the small design of the Honda Grom does not help either.
