A bunch of aesthetic and practical improvements made to the scooter have made it all the more enticing than before
Honda has announced significant updates to its popular X-ADV adventure scooter for the 2025 model year. The revamped version aims to enhance comfort, convenience, and capability.
Starting with its practical improvements – the 2025 Honda X-ADV will be available with cruise control as standard, along with a four-way backlit joystick. The windscreen can now also be adjusted on the move manually, with three positions of adjustability. Honda has also made slight tweaks to the X-ADV's bodywork making it look more angular than before. Additionally, the Japanese brand has also increased its use of recycled plastics and rubber in the construction, setting a new standard for the company's environmental efforts.
Continuing with design changes, the seat has also been redesigned to make it easier to stand over the bike while also increasing comfort with 10% more foam. Additionally, Honda has also included a glove box that provides extra storage space.
On the mechanical front, the automatic DCT transmission has been further refined to offer smoother low-speed response. Riders can now also select their preferred shift pattern and choose from five different settings for shifting gears. However, the 745cc parallel-twin engine powering the scooter remains the same. This mill produces 57.8bhp, with a 47bhp version available for A2 license holders. The chassis too remains unchanged, and so are the17-inch front and 15-inch rear wheel combination.
Feature-wise, the lighting has also been upgraded with a new dual LED headlight setup with integrated indicators and daytime running lights. There’s also a new 5-inch TFT dashboard with improved visibility and smartphone connectivity. Additionally, Honda is now offering the X-ADV with five new accessory packs - including an Adventure Pack with fog lights and crash bars, and a Travel Pack that gets you side panniers for extra storage.
Beyond that, the Honda X-ADV continues to use a keyless "Smart Key" system for ignition, fuel cap, and seat access. But this system now also includes an "answer back" function to help locate the bike when parked.
While we wished Honda had also bought the X-ADV to India, the chances of that happening is very slim. However, Hero MotoCorp is working on bringing a similar-styled scooter that will be powered by a smaller 160 cc, single-cylinder engine. To know more about the same head to the link here.
