From updated hardware to new features, the upcoming Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 will be a pretty promising modern bike.
Royal Enfield is slated to launch a slew of new motorcycles, but alongside the brand is also gearing up to introduce some of its existing models with a slew of updates. Test mules of the same were recently spotted, and the most striking of them all was Royal Enfield's Interceptor 650. Test mule of the 2025 iteration of the Interceptor 650 was recently spotted alongside the Hunter 350 and the Classic 650. Of all three, the Interceptor 650 has some pretty interesting and eye-catching upgrades.
Starting with the front, the 2025 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 was spotted with dual-disc brakes at the front. A setup we commonly associate with high-performance motorcycles, and while the 47 bhp/ 52 Nm-strong 650 cc parallel-twin is not an out-and-out performance-oriented mill. The inclusion of this new brake setup at the front will certainly enhance the roadster bike's braking prowess better than before.
In addition to that, the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 could also be spotted with the new fully digital single-pod TFT instrument cluster – which we've already experienced in the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. Therefore, this console should give you a full plethora of connectivity features, including onboard Google navigation.
Lastly, the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 could also be spotted with a new LED tail light, and the turn indicators have also been upgraded to LED units. Beyond these, the rest of the motorcycle seems to have remained the same. Sadly, Royal Enfield has still not considered a USD fork, and one of our biggest caveats with the bike—its rear suspension—seems to have remained the same as well.
All of these updates are expected to push the asking price of the upcoming Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 from its current range of ₹3.03 lakh to ₹3.31 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Along with that, Royal Enfield might also reshuffle the bike's colour options. More will be revealed later, and a possible showcase at Royal Enfield's upcoming 2024 Motoverse motorcycle show is a strong possibility.
