2025 Yamaha FZ-S Hybrid Launched In India

India Yamaha Motor (IYM) launched the 2025 FZ-S Hybrid in the Indian market for ₹1,44,800 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which makes it ₹10,000 more expensive than the standard variant of the popular Yamaha bike. As the name suggests, the biggest addition is the inclusion of Yamaha's Smart Motor Generator (SMG) and Stop and Start System (SSS) for the hybrid system to work The SMG system acts as a power assist when the bike accelerates from a standstill, thereby improving the throttle response. It also helps in offering a quieter engine start. The Start System (SSS) works like any other stop/start system by cutting the engine on idle thereby improving fuel economy.

On the cosmetic front, the 2025 Yamaha FZ-S Hybrid gets a redesigned tank cover which is curvier, while the turn indicators are now positioned within the intake area. The new 2025 Yamaha FZ-S is available in two colours - Racing Blue and Cyan Metallic Grey. Yamaha engineers have also improved the ergonomics of the bike by repositioning the handlebar for better comfort, and the switchgear has been redesigned for easier access. 

The other big update on the new Yamaha FZ-S is the inclusion of a 4.2-inch TFT instrument console that can connect to the rider's smartphone. Via the Y-Connect app, riders can access turn-by-turn navigation, call/message alerts, and more details on the cluster. The Yamaha FZ-S is the only hybrid system bike to go on sale in its segment.
