2026 BMW M 1000 RR Launched In India At ₹33.50 Lakh

BMW Motorrad India expanded its superbike portfolio by launching the new M 1000 R in our market. The 2026 BMW M 1000 R is priced at ₹33.50 lakh (ex-showroom) making it among the most expensive performance naked motorcycles on sale in India. It’s the only ‘M model’ in BMW Motorrad’s India portfolio currently. The new German bike will compete against the Kawasaki Ninja H2 SE, Ducati Streetfighter V4 and the Aprilia Tuono V4.

With respect to styling the new bike is different compared to its predecessor owing to the new twin-headlight setup with integrated LED DRLs inspired from the latest BMW S 1000 RR. Other visual elements include the large carb fibre winglets which not only make the bike look aggressive but also helps in generating downforce at high speeds. Being the M model, the bike gets goodies such as milled levers, a sculpted fuel tank with deep knee recesses, and an embroidered M logo on the seat.

On to the mechanical and the  M 1000 R is powered a 999 cc four-stroke, liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder engine, which delivers 207 bhp at 13,000 rpm and 113 Nm of peak  torque at 11,110 rpm. BMW claims a top speed of 280 kmph, making it among the fastest naked motorcycles out there. To handle all this performance, the motorcycle is equipped with multiple ride modes, traction control, wheelie control, engine braking and more. The bike features a fully adjustable electronic suspension on both ends and rides on forged aluminium wheels. 

Customers can also select the optional carbon wheels, which are 1.6 kg lighter or the titanium Akrapovic exhaust which sheds the kerb weight by 2.7 kg. Bookings for the 2026 BMW M 1000 R have started on the official website and the dealerships across the country and the bike will be brought to our shores as a CBU (completely built unit) from Germany.
