Hero MotoCorp previewed the updated 2026 Xtreme 125R at a recent dealer event, introducing a bunch of cosmetic and feature enhancements to its sporty 125 cc commuter ahead of an expected launch in the coming weeks.
The most significant update is the inclusion of a colour LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation capability. Hero has also introduced cruise control to the motorcycle, marking a first for the 125 cc segment in India.
The refreshed model sports a new red-and-black colour scheme with updated graphics that draw inspiration from the larger Xtreme 250R. Notable styling changes include the addition of bar-end mirrors, marginally taller handlebars, and a redesigned dual-tone fuel tank featuring a prominent 'Xtreme' logo.
The powertrain remains unchanged, with the 2026 model retaining the 124.7cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 11.4bhp and 10.5Nm of torque, mated to a five-speed gearbox. The chassis setup continues with telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock, whilst braking options include disc-drum configurations.
Once launched, the updated Xtreme 125R will compete against established rivals including the TVS Raider 125 and Honda's recently introduced CB125 Hornet in the premium 125cc motorcycle segment.
