2026 Range Rover Sport Autobiography Launched In India, Priced At ₹1.60 Crore

Land Rover has launched the 2026 Range Rover Sport in India, priced at ₹1.60 crore (ex-showroom). The Range Rover Sport is locally assembled in the country, and the automaker has now introduced the locally made Autobiography trim on the luxury SUV. The new Range Rover Sport Autobiography will be available with the 3.0-litre petrol and diesel engines, while the range-topping 4.4-litre Autobiography continues to be a full import.

The Autobiography trim brings more features and visual enhancements that are not available on the regular Range Rover Sport. The SUV packs new 22-inch forged alloy wheels with a satin black finish, red brake calipers, and Autobiography badging on the exterior. There are also soft-close doors as part of the Dynamic Exterior Pack. The Autobiography trim is available in two new colours - Borasco Grey and Ostuni Pearl White - apart from Santorini Black and Carpathian Grey.

The cabin gets the special treatment as well. It gets an extended leather upgrade with semi-aniline upholstery, SV bespoke carpet mats, and illuminated metal treadplates with Autobiography branding. Furthermore, the SUV packs a premium Meridian sound system, 22-way electrically adjustable front seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The rear seats also get heated, ventilation, and reclining function, while the cabin comes with four-zone climate control, cabin air purification, ambient lighting, and a front centre console refrigerator.

On the feature front, the Range Rover Sport Autobiography is equipped with the 13.7-inch digital driver’s display and a 13.1-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There’s also wireless charging, rear-seat entertainment screens, a head-up display, and rear-window sun blinds.

Powering the Range Rover Sport Autobiography are the 3.0-litre petrol and diesel engines. The P400 petrol churns out 395 bhp and 550 Nm of peak torque, with 0-100 kmph coming up in 5.5 seconds and a top speed of 242 kmph. Meanwhile, the D350 diesel produces 346 bhp and 700 Nm of peak torque. 0-100 kmph comes up in 5.8 seconds and the top speed is restricted to 234 kmph. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission with all-wheel drive.

While the 3.0-litre mills are now locally made, the top-spec 4.4-litre V8 Range Rover Sport Autobiography comes to India from the UK, and packs 523 bhp and 750 Nm of torque. The CBU version sprints from 0-100 kmph in 4.5 seconds with a top speed of 250 kmph.

The Range Rover Sport Autobiography gets a host of electronic aids for improved handling and stability. This includes all-wheel steering, an electronic active differential with torque vectoring by braking, a dynamic air suspension with Dynamic Response Pro and adaptive damping. The SUV comes with the Terrain Response Programs, adaptive off-road cruise control, hill descent control, as well as traction and stability control.
