Metro city demand accounted for 39 per cent of total bookings for the strong hybrid variant.
Renault India announced that it has halted bookings for the strong hybrid variant of the Duster as strong demand saw it fill the production slots through 2026. Francisco Hidalgo, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, states that metro city demand accounted for 39 per cent of total bookings for the strong hybrid variant. The company launched the third-generation Duster with Prices starting at ₹10.49 lakh for the base turbo-petrol model. Pre-bookings opened earlier with a fee of Rs 21,000.
Hidalgo said during the launch proceedings, “We have seen an overwhelming response to the hybrid powertrain. As of now, we are sold out for this year and are actively working on increasing capacity.”

Hidalgo said that the early traction for the hybrid variants is a welcome change. But it does mean that those who have booked one will have to wait for their car. The deliveries for the other two motors will begin by mid-April 2026.
Production takes place at the Chennai plant. Renault aims to increase output for the compact SUV given the strong demand. The Duster competes with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Grand Vitara.
