The new V4 debuts Dynamic Engine Brake with Ducati Vehicle Observer technology and Race Brake Control for enhanced corner-entry stability and later braking points.

Ducati has unveiled the updated 2027 Panigale V4 globally, introducing revisions across its powertrain, chassis geometry, electronics suite, and factory customisation program. Evolving from the seventh-generation superbike platform, the new Panigale V4 achieves a 0.4-second average lap time reduction at the Vallelunga circuit compared to its predecessor. European dealership deliveries are scheduled to begin in March 2027, followed by North American availability in April 2027.

At the core of the superbike is the 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine, which now generates 215 bhp at 13,500 rpm and 120.6 Nm of torque at 11,000 rpm in Euro5+ trim. Engine modifications include a high-flow front air intake, a revised exhaust system, and a recalibrated lubrication circuit to minimise power losses. Ducati has also raised the rev limiter to 15,000 rpm in second through fifth gears and adopted longer 17/42 final gearing, reducing gear shifts per lap. An optional Akrapovič Full Racing Exhaust PRO increases power by 11 bhp while reducing overall weight by 6.6 kg.

Chassis modifications focus on optimising tyre contact patch and cornering agility. The revised Front Frame features a 12% reduction in lateral stiffness, allowing for higher mid-corner speed, improved front-end feedback, and earlier throttle application on exit. The updated final drive ratio shortens the effective wheelbase by 8 mm for faster directional changes. The V4 S variant further adds track-focused adjustable clip-on handlebars raised by 10 mm, Öhlins Smart EC 3.0 electronic suspension, and forged aluminium wheels, weighing 187 kg kerb without fuel.

The electronics suite introduces Dynamic Engine Brake, which uses the Ducati Vehicle Observer algorithm to modulate engine braking based on real-time rear tyre load. Working alongside the new Race Brake Control, the system allows for later braking points and increased rear wheel stability during corner entry. Additionally, the Panigale V4 S joins the Ducati Factory Made program, offering 11 paint options, including five Lamborghini Ad Personam colours, alongside two racing liveries and factory-installed performance accessories.
