The updated Xtreme 160R Introduces ride-by-wire with 4 ride modes, cruise control, and adaptive suspension.
Hero MotoCorp has launched the updated Hero Xtreme 160R 4V in India, with prices starting at ₹1,27,000 (ex-showroom) for the Standard variant.
Positioned as a feature-loaded entry in the premium 160 cc commuter segment, the motorcycle receives several segment-first and industry-first upgrades, including ride-by-wire technology, cruise control, Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) suspension, and a new 4.2-inch TFT instrument console. Official bookings are now open, with customer deliveries scheduled to commence on November 1, 2026.
The updated Xtreme 160R 4V is offered across three distinct variants: Standard, Pro, and Carbon. While the Pro and Carbon variants are available immediately for delivery from November 1, deliveries for the base Standard trim will begin in January 2027. The motorcycle competes directly against segment rivals such as the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Bajaj Pulsar N160.

In terms of technology and equipment, Hero has introduced a ride-by-wire system enabling four distinct ride modes alongside segment-first cruise control. The motorcycle also debuts FSD suspension technology, marking an industry first for Indian two-wheelers to deliver adaptive damping across varying road surfaces. Cockpit updates include a new 4.2-inch TFT display offering lap and drag timers, Bluetooth connectivity for call and message alerts, and turn-by-turn navigation. Hero has also refreshed the motorcycle's styling, fit, and finish while expanding its accessory range to 14 items, including adjustable levers and a coloured drive chain.

Hero claims the powertrain delivers up to 10 per cent higher power at the rear wheel compared to key competitors, achieving a 0 to 60 km/h acceleration time of 4.4 seconds.
