The new Kodiaq will be available in Sportline and Laurin & Klement variants.
Skoda Auto India is launching the second generation of its much-loved Kodiaq in India on April 17. It will be available in two variants – Sportline and Laurin & Klement (L&K). The new Kodiaq will continue to be assembled locally at the firm’s plant in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (formerly known as Aurangabad). Bookings for the Kodiaq will begin on February 17, while deliveries will begin from May 2, 2025, onwards.
The new Kodiaq is expected to be priced between ₹45-50 lakh (ex-showroom, India). For reference, the previous gen was priced at ₹40.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India), right before it was discontinued earlier this year. The new one, despite having loads more tech and features than the previous one, should be very expensive since it is assembled in India.
Both the variants of the new Kodiaq get a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with 201 bhp and 320 Nm. It also gets a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and an all-wheel drive system. Currently, it could also get a diesel engine in the future.
Inside, the new Kodiaq will have a 13-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 10.25-inch virtual cluster, knobs to control AC, volume and many other functions. The gear selector has now moved to the steering column and it also gets two wireless chargers. While the Sportline gets an all-black theme with leather and suede, the L&K gets a black and brown theme with leather. For safety, it gets 9 airbags, anti-lock brakes, stability control and more. The Kodiaq will soon get ADAS too.
