The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is the brand’s entry-level offering that is based on the modern J-platform.
Royal Enfield's entry-level bike, the Hunter 350 has surpassed sales of 5 lakh units since its debut in August 2022. This marks a significant achievement for the Chennai-based bike manufacturer demonstrating strong market acceptance. Royal Enfield Hunter 350 had breached the 1,00,000 sales mark within six months of launch and doubled that figure by July 2023. With the latest achievement, the Hunter 350 reinforces its position as one of Royal Enfield's most successful models.
Currently positioned as the brand's most accessible motorcycle, the Hunter 350 price ranges from ₹1.50 lakh to ₹1.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). There are eight distinct colour options to choose from, available in different variants. So, the Rebel variant is available with Black, Blue, and Red colour options, alongside Dapper editions in Green, White, Grey, and Orange, alongside a Factory Black option.
The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is built on the same modern J-series platform as seen on the Classic 350 and Meteor 350. It is powered by a 349 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that delivers 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm, and the motor comes paired with a five-speed gearbox. The main reason for the compact dimension of the Hunter 350 are the smaller alloy wheels on which it rides on which has also lowered its seat height making it more accessible.
The latest sales achievement also highlights the Hunter 350’s strong market presence in the mid-size motorcycle space. This segment has off-late become quite popular with several new launches taking place last year like the Triumph Speed T4, Jawa 42 FJ and even the Hero Mavrick 440. Despite this constant competition, Royal Enfield achieved the milestone in approximately 2.5 years, demonstrating the Hunter 350's sustained appeal among Indian consumers.
