2024 Acko Drive Awards: Triumph Speed 400 Is The Modern Classic Bike

After a stellar pricing announcement and then backing it up with delightful riding experience, the Triumph Speed 400 has deservedly won the 2024 Acko Drive Awards' Modern Classic Motorcycle Of The Year award. In this hotly contested class, the Speed 400 delighted the jury with its clean lines, peppy performance and a very attractive price point.

The Speed 400 managed to edge out the likes of the Royal Enfield Bullet 350, Harley-Davidson X440, the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 and its own brother, the Scrambler 400X. After the Bajaj-Triumph partnership was inked, it was in the making for nearly three years, with the COVID-19 pandemic causing some major hurdles in the execution of the project.

Nevertheless, the outcome of a sporty retro styled roadster with 39.5 bhp and 40 Nm on disposal from its 398 cc mill turned out to be very favourable for both companies involved. And the highlight of it is that it turns out to be a very effortless city bike with perhaps the best suspension tune for our urban jungles.
