Alpine Racing Gets €200 Million Investment From Otro Capital

Alpine Racing Ltd, the racing division of the Renault Group, has announced that Otro Capital will get 24 per cent equity. Otro Capital’s €200 million (roughly ₹1,821 crore) in Alpine is meant to support the latter’s growth strategy and sporting ambitions in Formula 1. The investment was first announced in June 2023. 

Along with the €200 million investment, Otro Capital’s co-founder and partner, Alec Scheiner, has joined the board of Alpine Racing Ltd. This investment values Alpine Racing Ltd at $900 million (roughly ₹7,486 crore) and will allow the brand to develop its Formula 1 image through media, sponsorships, ticketing, hospitality and more. 

Otro Capital has a slew of athletes and sports investors in its group including investment firms like RedBird Capital Partners and Maximum Effort Investment, as well as athletes like Trent Alexander-Arnold, Juan Mata, Rory McIlroy, Anthony Joshua and more. According to Alpine and Otro Capital, these investors will help attract new crowds to Formula 1.
