Ampere has also rolled out a new installment plan alongside with benefits of lowest down payment and interest rates.
The all-electric sub-brand of Greaves Electric Mobility, Ampere, has launched a battery warranty programme for its flagship electric scooter, the Nexus. This new programme will cover the 3 kWh battery of the Nexus for at least 5 years or 75,000 km, whichever comes first. Ampere claims that this new programme is an industry-leading initiative; however, that is not the case. A few days back Matter Energy introduced a “Lifetime Battery Warranty” with its debut electric motorcycle, Aera 5000. Also, Ather Energy announced its “Eight70 Warranty scheme” a few days back, which covers the battery for up to 8 years or 80,000 km, whichever comes first.

Ampere has also launched a new financial scheme, offering the Nexus instalment schemes with low down payment options and interest rates as low as 6.99%. The warranty programme will be available without any additional cost. However, the Nexus’ price has increased from before, and at ₹1.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), it is exactly ₹5,000 more than before.
The Ampere Nexus is powered by a 3 kWh battery that is paired with a 3.3 kW mid-mounted electric motor with a peak power output of 4 kW. The e-motor is good enough for a claimed top speed of 93 kmph, while the battery is good enough for a claimed range of 100 km on a single charge. As for how does the Ampere Nexus is to ride, check out our first ride review below:
