The ROG Ally handheld console by Asus has officially launched in India. It is a first-of-its-kind device from Asus, bringing the power of a Windows 11 PC into your hands. The ROG Ally is powered by an AMD Z1 Extreme chip with RDNA3 graphics, sufficient to run the best AAA titles available today. Here's everything you need to know about the ROG Ally.
The ROG Ally is priced at ₹69,990 and is available from Asus eShop, Asus exclusive stores and e-commerce stores online.
Weighing in at just 608g and measuring 28.0 x 11.1 x 2.12 ~ 3.24 cm, it is designed to be easily carried and used on the go. The 7-inch FHD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution display offers an immersive gaming experience with full sRGB coverage. The Gorilla Glass DXC and Gorilla Glass Victus protect against scratches. Gamers can expect smooth and responsive gameplay with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a response time of 7ms.
At the heart of the Asus ROG Ally lies the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme Processor, built on the Zen4 architecture with a 4nm process. This 8-core/16-thread processor boasts a total cache of 24MB and a boost clock speed of up to 5.10 GHz. It is paired with the AMD Radeon Graphics based on the RDNA 3 architecture, featuring 12 Compute Units (CUs) and a clock speed of up to 2.7 GHz, the ROG Ally delivers an astounding 8.6 Teraflops of graphics processing power.
The Asus ROG Ally has 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD.
In terms of controls, the ROG Ally features a gamepad layout that includes A, B, X, and Y buttons, a D-pad, Hall Effect analogue triggers and bumpers, and assignable grip buttons. Two full-size analogue sticks and a 6-axis IMU gyro ensure precise and responsive control.
The device is Hi-Res certified and has AI noise-cancelling technology and Dolby Atmos with a built-in array microphone and a 2-speaker system.
It's got a 40WHrs, 4S1P, 4-cell Li-ion battery for uninterrupted gaming and can fast charge with the 65W adapter.
The Asus ROG Ally also comes with a 3-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription and grants access to Microsoft's vast library of games.
