Ather Partners With ThunderPlus For Fast Charging Stations

Of all the cool and techy stuff that Ather does with its e-scooters, having a reliable and well functioning fast charging network has always been one key area that its customers have appreciated. And with that in mind, the Bengaluru-based electric-only has joined hands with ThunderPlus, a charging infrastructure provider, to increase the footprint of its AtherGrid fast chargers.

With the partnership, Ather owners in the 40 cities that ThunderPlus is present in will be able to access more fast charging stations than just the ones that Ather has put up. Hence, another 140 fast charging stations have been added to the mix. Whether or not the price of fast charging at these new outlets is the same as the ₹1/km that Ather charges at its AtherGrid remains to be seen.

It is quite a promising year for Ather thus far. The company’s Rizta has been pretty successful, it went public without any dramatic fluctuation in share prices post listing and there’s more goodness in store. We have come to know that the new EL low-cost electric scooter platform is being worked upon and there will finally be an Ather electric motorcycle in the offing. And with steady improvement in sales performance, Ather is becoming a very reliable and cool two-wheeler maker to be reckoned with.
