Ather Rizta Crosses 2 Lakh Sales Milestone

Ather Energy has reported that its Rizta family scooter has sold over 2 lakh units. This figure was achieved six months after the model hit 1 lakh sales in May 2025, following its introduction in April 2024.

The Rizta has expanded Ather's presence outside southern India, with demand picking up in other regions. Variants such as the Terracotta Red colour and Rizta S with a 3.7 kWh battery have been added.

The model now represents more than 70% of Ather's overall sales. In states like Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, market share rose from 7% in Q1 FY26 to 14% in Q3 FY26 (up to November 2025). Punjab's share increased from 8% to 15%, and Uttar Pradesh from 4% to 10%.

The Rizta has supported Ather's retail growth, with the company reaching over 5 lakh total scooter sales nationwide, based on Vahan and Telangana data. Since April 2024, Ather has added outlets, bringing the total to 524 Experience Centres by 30 September 2025.

Ravneet Singh Phokela, CBO, Ather Energy, said the model has aided distribution expansion, particularly in central and northern India, with future plans focusing on wider availability.

The Rizta comes in S and Z models, offering IDC ranges of 123 km and 159 km. It includes a seat with under-seat storage of 34 litres (expandable to 56 litres with optional 22-litre frunk), a flat floorboard, and features like SkidControl, Fall Safe, Emergency Stop Signal, theft alerts, and ping my scooter (with AtherStack Pro).

At the 2025 Community Day, touchscreen capability was announced for the Rizta Z. The model is also sold in Nepal and Sri Lanka.

Ather Energy produces the 450 series for performance users and Rizta for family needs. It operates 4,322 chargers globally as of 30 September 2025, including 4,282 in India.
