Atul Auto Appoints Kamalkishore Vora as Independent Director

Atul Auto Ltd has named Dr. Kamalkishore C. Vora as an additional non-executive independent director with effect from 15 March 2026, in a board-level move the Gujarat-based manufacturer says will sharpen its strategic focus as the automotive sector undergoes rapid transformation.

The three-year appointment, which remains subject to shareholder approval, was made on the recommendation of the company's Nomination and Remuneration Committee and is in line with the Securities and Exchange Board's (SEBI) current disclosure norms.

Dr. Vora brings more than four decades of experience spanning both industry and academia. His career has included senior positions at Mahindra & Mahindra and the Automotive Research Association of India, and he currently heads the Automotive Centre of Excellence at NAMTECH. 

His areas of specialism include vehicle technology, skills development and electric vehicles -- expertise the company believes will reinforce board oversight and inform its direction as regulatory and industry landscapes continue to shift.

Atul Auto manufactures three-wheelers and small commercial vehicles from its production base in Gujarat, supplying both domestic and international markets with a range of passenger and cargo carriers. 

The company is a niche operator in the last-mile and small mobility segment in the country.
