The Audi Q8 gets the most benefit from the GST 2.0 structure.
Audi India cars are getting cheaper, thanks to the implementation of GST 2.0. The German marque is passing on the benefit of the revised tax structure in the form of price cuts, ranging between ₹2.6 lakh and ₹7.8 lakh, depending on the model. The new pricing structure should also help Audi attract new buyers ahead of the festive season.
With the new tax structure, the Audi Q3 becomes ₹3.07 lakhs more affordable than before. It still remains the entry point into the brand, but at the new ₹43.07 lakh (down from ₹46.14 lakh), it is now more accessible than before.
The A4 currently acts as the entry-level sedan for Audi India, and its prices have reduced from ₹48.89 lakh to ₹46.25 lakh, a reduction of ₹2.64 lakh on the ex-showroom price.
Moving up in the portfolio, the Audi A6 also gets an attractive price benefit of ₹3.64 lakh, with the prices being reduced from ₹67.38 lakh to ₹63.74 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Similarly, the Q5, one of the best-selling models for Audi India, gets a price drop of ₹4.55 lakh, and is now priced at ₹63.75 lakh (earlier price being ₹68.30 lakh).
Audi India’s flagship SUVs see the most benefit of the revised GST structure. The three-row Q7 gets cheaper by ₹6.15 lakh, with the prices dropping from ₹92.29 lakh to ₹86.14 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The Q8, though, sees the biggest drop in price. It was earlier priced at ₹1.17 crore, and with the revised structure, it’s now priced at ₹1.09 crore, seeing a price change of ₹7.8 lakh.
These price reductions will help Audi attract many new customers, but it still hasn’t been able to match its primary rivals (Mercedes-Benz and BMW) in terms of sales success. Till now, only Mercedes-Benz has announced revised prices due to GST 2.0, and you can read more about it here.
