Acko Drive Best Of Show At Auto Expo 2025: Tata Avinya X Concept Wins Best Concept Car

At the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, the Tata Avinya X Concept emerged as the prestigious ‘Best Concept Car’ winner at the Acko Drive Best of Show awards. Held at the Auto Expo, the Acko Drive Best of Show awards celebrate automotive innovation and creativity. For 2025, the jury, including experts like Yogendra Pratap, Renuka Kirpalani, and Hani Musthafa, praised the Avinya X for its forward-thinking design evolution, commitment to sustainable mobility through advanced EV technology, and market readiness, with features tailored for the future of ultra-luxury. The Tata Avinya X Concept fought off competition from DC2 Mercury Concept, Isuzu Concept D-Max BEV, Lexus ROV Concept, Mercedes-Benz Concept CLA, Skoda Vision 7S, and the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV. 

The Avinya X represents the next evolution of Tata’s ultra-luxury concept. Departing from its predecessor's coupe-like design, the Avinya X adopts a more crossover-inspired silhouette. This design shift reflects Tata's keen understanding of market trends, where crossovers are increasingly in demand. Key design features include a high stance with large wheels for an imposing presence, pop-out door handles, which add futuristic functionality, wrap-around headlamps and tail lamps, which enhance aesthetics and visibility, and a minimalist rear design with connected tail lamps and gloss black bumpers. 

The Avinya X is expected to leverage Jaguar Land Rover’s EMA platform, a testament to Tata Motors’ strategic collaboration with JLR. This platform allows for EV-only configurations, aligning with the global shift toward electric mobility, a robust range of at least 500 km, catering to practical long-distance usability, and options for both RWD and AWD drivetrains, offering flexibility for diverse markets.

Unlike many concepts, the Avinya X is slated to hit production by 2026, making it more than just a design showcase. Its near-production-ready status added weight to its recognition as the ‘Best Concept’.
