However, on a month-on-month basis, Suzuki’s monthly sales have dropped by 10.31 per cent.
After registering its highest ever annual sales in FY 25, Suzuki has started FY 26 with a healthy year-on-year sales growth of 14 per cent by retailing 1,12,948 units. However, on a month-on-month basis this represents a 10.31 per cent drop in sales when you take into the fact that Suzuki sold 1,25,930 units in March 2025.
In the domestic market alone, Suzuki’s sales grew from 88,067 units in April 2024 to 95,214 units last month. This is an 8 per cent year-on-year growth. But more noteworthy was Suzuki India’s export business that grew by 57 per cent last month by exporting 17,734 units, compared to 11,310 units it did the year before in the same month.

Speaking on the occasion of this sales growth, Deepak Mutreja, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd., said, “This positive start to the year fills us with gratitude. Each unit sold represents the beginning of a new journey with our customers and we are thankful to be a part of it. We will continue to work sincerely to meet the evolving expectations of our customers and contribute positively to their journey with us.”
The brand’s most popular family scooter, the Access 1225 continues to rake in the most volume. The Suzuki Access 125 also entered the India Book of Records last month by being the fastest scooter to ride from India’s lowest region, Kuttanad, to the highest village, Komic. Alongside, the Indian arm of the Japanese two-wheeler giant also launched the OBD-2B compliant Hayabusa in new colours. Plus, it also commenced online bookings of its products via Flipkart across eight Indian states – it is these initiatives that will give Suzuki the much required impetus to live up to the glory of the last financial year, this year too.
