Auto Sales March 2025: Suzuki Clocks Its Best-Ever FY Sales In India

FY2024-25 was a bumper one for Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) as the company registered its best ever annual sales performance in our country. The Japanese brand sold 12,56,161 units in our country in the last financial year thereby registering a healthy growth of 11 per cent. Of the total sales, domestic sales stood at 10,45,662 units, however, exports dropped from 2,12,893 units in FY2023-24 to 2,10,499 units last year. As for March, 2025, sales performance, Suzuki registered 1,25,930 units, which is a whopping 24 per cent improvement compared to the corresponding period last year. Exports stood at 20,194 units, which is better than the 17,505 units shipped out in March, 2024.

Commenting on the sales performance, Mr. Mitsumoto Watabe - Operation Manager, Sales & After Sales, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. said, “We are sincerely grateful to our customers, dealer partners, and team members for helping us achieve our highest-ever annual sales of 12.56 lakh units in FY2024-25. Our sales have doubled in just 4 four years, reflecting the continued trust our customers have placed in us by choosing Suzuki products. This growth was further driven by the launch of the new Suzuki Access, where our dealers and team focused on delivering a complete product experience through test rides. As we step into the new financial year, we are geared up for the launch of our first electric scooter – the Suzuki e-Access. We look forward to continuing this journey with the same customer-first approach.” 

The Japanese brand introduced the refreshed version of its most popular model, the 2025 Suzuki Access earlier this year and it will be banking on it to further improve sales. The Japanese brand is also developing a refreshed version of the 2025 Suzuki Burgman 125 Street, which should be launched soon in India. Another interesting product is the Suzuki e-Access electric scooter which was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Show earlier this year. The Suzuki e-Access will kickstart its EV journey in India and is expected to go on sale very soon.
