The two-wheeler giant’s domestic sales stood at 392,306 units last month, as compared to 270,919 units in December 2024.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) announced that the company registered a 44.8 per cent increase in year-on-year sales in December 2025. The two-wheeler giant’s domestic sales stood at 392,306 units last month, as compared to 270,919 units in December 2024. Exports contribution last month stood at 53,742 units, a hike of 44.61 per cent over 37,164 units shipped overseas a year ago.
With respect to year-to-date sales, Honda reported selling 46,78,814 units in FY2026 (April-December 2025), which included 42,04,420 units in domestic sales and 4,74,394 units in exports. The volumes jumped by 3.13 per cent year-on-year. Domestic year-to-date sales stood at 42,04,420 units, staying nearly flat at 1.60 per cent, when compared to 41,38,346 units sold during the same period last year. Exports between April and December 2025 reached 474,394 units, registering a 19.02 per cent growth over 398,574 units shipped overseas in FY2025.

Honda had an interesting year in 2025 with launches like the CB125 Hornet and Shine 100 DX and the upgradation of its complete range to the latest regulations. The brand expanded its premium lineup with multiple new launches, but it also faltered with its entry into the electric two-wheeler space. The brand launched the new Activa e and QC1 electric scooters for the Indian market, both of which were met with much criticism.
The Activa e heavily depends on the brand’s battery swapping network, which remains limited in reach at the moment. This is a hindrance for buyers, especially since there is no other way to charge the e-scooter outside of the eSwap network. Sales are closed for the Activa e and QC1 at the moment.
