Auto Sales February 2026: Greaves Mobility Strengthens Position in Electric Bike Market

Greaves Electric Mobility Ltd. (GEML), through its Ampere brand, recorded retail sales of 4,479 electric bikes in February 2026, marking a 9% month on month growth and signalling steady traction in India’s fast evolving electric mobility space.

According to Vahan data for the period between February 1-27, 2026, GEML climbed to the No. 5 position in monthly electric two-wheeler retail rankings for the first time. The company captured a 4.2% market share during the month, reinforcing its growing presence in an increasingly competitive segment.

A notable highlight from February’s performance was GEML’s ability to outperform Ola Electric in retail volumes. GEML sold 588 more electric two-wheelers than Ola during the month, with Ola recording 3,891 units.

The broader electric two-wheeler landscape remained led by TVS, Bajaj and Ather, which continued to dominate the top three spots. However, GEML’s upward movement in rankings reflects strengthening consumer acceptance and expanding reach.

Despite intensified competition from legacy OEMs and emerging EV startups, GEML’s performance indicates sustained demand for its offerings. Maintaining this momentum will be key as the market moves towards scale driven growth in 2026.
