Auto Sales February 2026: Strong Export Momentum Lifts Toyota’s Performance

Toyota Kirloskar Motor reported total sales of 34,034 units in February 2026, registering a 20% increase compared to 28,414 units sold in the same month last year.

Domestic sales grew 16% year-on-year to 30,737 units, up from 26,414 units in February 2025. Export volumes recorded stronger momentum, rising 65% to 3,297 units during the month, compared to 2,000 units a year earlier.

For the year-to-date period of calendar year 2026, total sales reached 67,914 units, reflecting an 18% growth over 57,785 units reported in the corresponding period last year. Domestic volumes during this period increased 17% to 61,367 units, while exports grew 26% to 6,547 units.

Commenting on the performance, Sabari Manohar, Executive Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, noted that February results highlight continued customer confidence in the brand’s quality and reliability, with demand remaining stable across the product portfolio.

He further added that the recently introduced Tech Package for the Urban Cruiser Hyryder has received encouraging feedback, particularly for its enhanced comfort and convenience features.

Toyota is also about to launch its very first EV in India, the Urban Cruiser Ebella. Based on the Maruti e Vitara, the Ebella will offer 49/61 kWh batteries, with the larger providing 172 bhp, 189 Nm torque, and 543 km range. Features include Level 2 ADAS, panoramic roof, JBL audio, 8-year battery warranty, assured buyback, and extensive EV-ready service network.
