Consumer confidence in the brand has received a further boost following the announcement of the Renault Duster's return to the Indian market.
Renault India, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Renault Group, has maintained its upward sales trajectory, wholesaling 3,495 units in February 2026, which is a rise of 31 per cent compared to the 2,676 units recorded during the same month the previous year, the automaker announced on Sunday. The strong monthly result has contributed to a cumulative growth rate of 32 per cent across the first two months of 2026, compared to the corresponding period in 2025, underscoring the brand's sustained recovery in the competitive Indian passenger vehicle segment.
Building on the positive trend established in January, Renault India has again outpaced broader industry growth during the month. Demand for the refreshed Kiger and Triber models remained robust, with the new Triber proving particularly popular -- delivering a 57 per cent year-on-year uplift in February alone.
The revamped Kiger and Triber line-up has played a central role in a broader turnaround in brand perception. Since the third quarter of calendar year 2025, Renault India has recorded consecutive periods of year-on-year growth -- 9 per cent in Q3 CY2025, followed by 27 per cent in Q4 CY2025, and now 32 per cent across the opening two months of 2026.
Consumer confidence in the brand has received a further boost following the announcement of the Renault Duster's return to the Indian market. The news has already translated into a noticeable increase in dealership footfall, suggesting positive momentum heading into the remainder of the year.
