With the new e-scooters and big bikes on the horizon, expect improved sales performance
Honda has had a smashing start to the new year as it witnesses a 6 percent year-on-year growth. With a combined domestic and export sales figure of 4,44,847 units, there is quite a lot for the Japanese brand to be positive about heading into the year.
In the nearly 4.45 lakh units sold, 4,02,977 units were sold domestically, which is a 5 percent better performance than what Honda mustered in January 2024. In fact, the Year-to-Date sales tally stands at 49,81,767 units overall with 45,41,323 units being sold in the country.
And it only looks like it is going to get better for Honda from here on. The company has been on a spree of updating its existing portfolio to meet the OBD2B norms, with the Livo, Dio and Activa being the more recent ones. Supplementing the small Hondas, it has also ridden in the updated versions of the CBR650R and CB650R, popular sport machines with key tweaks that intend to make the bike more enriching to ride.
Lastly, the prices of the Activa e: and QC1 e-scooters were revealed at Auto Expo 2025. Since bookings for the two had already begun, the deliveries of the same are expected to start soon.
