Auto Sales July 2024: Bajaj Sales Improve Massively

Bajaj Auto Ltd has shared its sales figures for July 2024. Domestic sales showed a positive trend as sales improved by an impressive 19%. Bajaj Auto sold 1,68,847 units last month compared to 1,41,990 over the same period last year. Exports performance wasn’t particularly great, with a meagre one per cent growth as it exported 1,28,694 units in July 2024. The strong surge in domestic sales will delight the company, and the key reason for this has been the influx of new and updated products in its range. In fact, even the Bajaj Chetak performed tremendously as the company managed over 20,000 bookings last month, which is the Chetak’s best sales performance. 

When one looks at the last three months' sales, the upward trend continues for Bajaj Auto. The company sold 7,51,344 units between April to July 2024, a notable 10 per cent jump in numbers as it had sold 6,84,921 units last year in the same time period. Given its strong product portfolio, Bajaj Auto sales are likely to continue improving in the future. The company introduced the world’s first production CNG bike in the form of the Freedom 125. Sales for the CNG bike were supposed to be restricted to just Maharashtra and Gujarat, but given the positive response, the Freedom 125 is now available pan-India. The impact of the CNG bike and its sales could be seen in the upcoming months' sales performance.
