Particularly impressive was the sales of the brand’s sole electric scooter offering – the iQube.
TVS Motor Company’s overall sales grew by 9 per cent last month wherein the brand retailed a total 339,676 units of two-wheelers and three-wheelers, compared to 312,307 units in July 2023. Subsequently, the brand’s domestic business registered 8 per cent growth whereas its export business grew by 9 per cent.
In the domestic market, TVS sold 5 per cent more motorcycles last month at 161,074 units in July 2024, compared to 153,942 units in July 2023. Whereas, its scooter business grew by 15 per cent with sales increasing from 121,941 units in July 2023 to 139,995 units in July 2024. TVS exported 11 per cent more motorcycles and scooters last month with sales increasing from 77,077 units in July 2023 to 85,426 units in July 2024.
But the sales of iQube electric scooters exceeded all. TVS retailed 21,442 electric scooters in July 2024, compared to 13,306 units in July 2023, thus registering 61 per cent growth with its sole electric offering.
Periodic updates and the launch of the ST variant, coupled with more updates introduced with the S and base iQube variants, can finally be regarded as the reason behind this bump in sales. To learn more about the TVS iQube variants, click on the link here.
