Auto Sales June 2023: Mahindra Records Overall Growth Of 23.18 Per Cent

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. announced that its overall auto sales for the month of June 2023 stood at 62,429 vehicles. In the Utility Vehicles (UV) segment, Mahindra sold 32,585 vehicles in June 2023, as compared to 26620 units sold in June 2022, a growth of 22.41 per cent. According to the company, the sales volume was restricted by a short-term disruption in engine-related parts at the supplier end, as well as semiconductor supply constraints on specific parts like airbag ECUs that continued this month as well.

Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., “With strong demand for the SUV portfolio, we have continued our growth trend with domestic sales of 32,585 units and 22 per cent growth in June.”

Overall, including PVs, CVs, electric 3-wheelers, and exports, Mahindra sold 41,470 units in June 2023 as compared to 33,665 units sold in the same period last year, a hike of 23.18 per cent. Passenger vehicles, on the other hand, stood at 32588 units in June 2023, as against 26880 units in June 2022, a surplus of 21 per cent.

Nakra added, “We continue to deliver a healthy YoY growth in HCVs and 3-Wheelers segments as well.”

During April-June 2023 period, Mahindra sold 1,00,162 UVs as compared to 75,420 UVs in the same period last year, a growth of 33 per cent. Cumulatively, the company sold 100172 units between April-June 2023, as compared to 76310 units sold between April-June 2022, a hike of 31 per cent.
