The company showed a marginal growth in sales of 2.3% month-on-month
MG Motor India announced that it sold 5125 units in June 2023. This marks a year on year growth of 13.7 per cent compared to the same period last year. In fact, there is a marginal growth on the month-on-month front as well. The company sold 5006 units in May 2023 and the sales in June are up by 2.3 per cent.
Overall, in Q2 of 2023, the company sold 14,682 units and that too is a growth of 40 per cent compared to Q2 2022, where it sold 10,519 units. The company stated that supplies were disrupted in the wake of cyclone Biparjoy but with the festive season just around the corner, the company is expecting demand to soar.
The company launched the Comet EV in India and it is the second EV from the carmaker in the country. MG Motor India is planning more launches and we’ll soon see a new car hitting the market.
