Domestic sales in May 2025 grew by 22 per cent, while exports grew by 20 per cent.
Toyota Kirloskar Motors sold 30,864 units in May 2025, registering a growth of 22 per cent, compared to May 2024 when it sold 25,273 units. In the first two months of the financial year 2025-26 (FY26), Toyota sold 58,188 units, witnessing a growth of 27 per cent compared to the same period last year when it sold 45,767 units.
Of the 30,864 units sold last month, 29,280 were sold in the domestic market, while 1,584 units were exported. Domestic sales increased by 22 per cent, while exports saw a growth of 20 per cent. For reference, domestic sales in May 2024 accounted for 23,959 units, while exports tallied 1,314 units.

During the first two months of FY26, Toyota’s SUV and MPV sales saw a growth of 34 per cent compared to the same period last year, reaffirming that these two segments are still the most popular ones in the Indian market.
Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, said, “With the onset of the monsoon and forecasts indicating a normal to above-normal season, we remain optimistic about improved market sentiment in the coming months, particularly across rural and semi-urban regions.”
