Mahindra sold 39,981 units of passenger vehicles and 22,211 units of commercial vehicles last month.
Mahindra and Mahindra registered total sales of 70,576 units in November 2023, a year-on-year growth of 21 per cent compared to the same period last year. This includes domestic sales as well as exports of passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles.
The Indian manufacturer sold 39,981 units of passenger vehicles in India, registering a YoY growth of 32 per cent compared to November 2022. Mahindra’s sales in November 2022 also included 154 cars and vans, which were not present in November 2023.
Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd said, “We continue our growth trend, backed by strong demand for our SUV portfolio. In November, we sold a total of 39,981 units, a growth of 32%. While we saw a healthy festive season, we faced supply challenges on select parts during the month. We are keeping a close watch and taking appropriate steps to mitigate the challenges”.
Mahindra sold 22,211 commercial vehicles last month, which is a 13 per cent growth compared to the same period last year. The brand sold 19,591 commercial vehicles in November 2022. In the light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment of under two tonnes, Mahindra sold 4,083 units, which is a 54 per cent increase from November 2022. In the LCV segment between two tonnes and 3.5 tonnes, Mahindra sold 17,284 units (a 7 per cent increase from the same period last year). Similarly, in the LCV category of over 3.5 tonnes, Mahindra sold 844 units which is 12 per cent higher than the same period in the previous year.
The brand also sold 6,568 units of three-wheelers in November 2023, registering a YoY growth of 26 per cent compared to November 2022. Last month, Mahindra exported 1,816 units, 42 per cent down from the exports in October 2022 when it sold 3,122 units.
