Bajaj 125 cc CNG Bike What Will Its Name Be: Badal, Freedom, Or Aura?

As we eagerly await the arrival of the world’s first CNG motorcycle on July 5, the name of the Bajaj 125 cc CNG bike is still under the wraps. We had received information that it would be called the Bruzer 125 CNG. However, that turned out to be an internal project codename. And yet, Bajaj has countless trademarked names still pending to be associated with its products.

The list of trademarked names include Fighter, Freedom, Glider, Marathon, Trekker, Vector, Swing, Genie, Runner, Badal, Hammer, Racer, Aura and more. And straight off the bat we can eliminate a few like Runner, Swing, Racer and Fighter. None of these fit the intention or the purpose that Bajaj aims to promote with the CNG machine. 

Furthermore, Hammer, Glider, and Marathon seem befitting names for Bajaj’s commercial vehicle business. And maybe a Bajaj Genie or a Bajaj Swing could be cool for an electric three-wheeler.

That leaves us with Freedom, Badal, Aura and Trekker. The last one again just feels a bit adventurous and could be a suffix to the Pulsar adventure bikes that Bajaj could possibly be working on. 

So, if we were to wager a guess, we think that Bajaj could put either the Badal, Freedom or Aura moniker on to its upcoming 125 cc CNG bike. Yes, there used to be an LML Freedom motorcycle in the 2000s that failed miserably. But Bajaj has received the trademark right to use it on its motorcycles. A lot of Indian stallions usually end up being called Badal and considering the CNG bike is going to be a workhorse, the use of the Badal name could be apt. And finally, the bike clearly already has an aura and distinction of being the world’s first CNG bike. So, justifying the Aura tag wouldn’t be too hard for Bajaj.
