Bajaj has launched a new variant of the Chetak electric scooter called C25 01. With this new addition, the Bajaj Chetak range comprises five variants namely C25 01, 3001, 3503, 3502, and 3501. The new variant acts as the entry point for the Chetak lineup and replaces the Chetak 2903. Here’s a rundown of how these variants differ from each other in terms of features, specifications, and price.
The base C25 01, 3001 and 3503 variants are similarly equipped, offering essential features like a negative LCD dash with mobile connectivity and a USB charging port. These variants also display call/message alerts and get basic music control, reverse mode, ride modes (Eco and Sports), hill-hold assist and guide-me-home lights with the optional TecPac. That said, the C25 01 gets a front disc and a rear drum brake setup whereas the 3001 and the 3503 get drum brakes at both ends.

The higher-spec Chetak variants — 3502 and 3501— are equipped with a TFT instrument cluster, with the 3501 further featuring a touchscreen dashboard. When specified with the TecPac, these scooters gain features such as overspeed alerts, guide-me-home lighting, vehicle immobilisation, and music controls, along with a front disc brake. Additionally, the range-topping Bajaj Chetak 3501 offers keyless ignition and sequential turn indicators.
The entry-level Chetak C25 01 comes with the smallest battery pack with a capacity of 2.5 kWh that offers a claimed IDC range of 113 km. Using a 750W off-board charger, the battery can be fully rejuvenated in 3 hours and 45 minutes. This variant is powered by a 2.2 kW hub motor and can clock a top speed of 55 kmph.

The Chetak 3001 variant comes with a 3kWh battery pack which offers a claimed range of 127 km from a full charge. And speaking about charge, the 3001 takes about 3 hours and 50 minutes to charge from 0 to 80 percent, using a 750W onboard charger. Powering this variant is a 3.1 kW hub motor. The Chetak 3001 variant can reach a top speed of 63 kmph.
The Chetak 35 series, including 3503, 3502, and 3501, is equipped with a marginally larger 3.5 kWh battery pack. The 3501 and 3502 offer a claimed range of 153 km on a full charge, while the 3503 delivers a slightly lower claimed range of 151 km. Top speed also differs across the lineup, with the 3503 capped at 63 kmph, whereas the other two variants can attain a top speed of 73 kmph.
Charging times vary slightly within the 35 series as well. The 3502 and 3503 require 3 hours and 25 minutes to fully charge using a 900W charger, while the range-topping 3501 benefits from a 950W onboard charger, enabling a quicker full charge time of 3 hours.
