Bajaj has relaunched the Pulsar 180 in India with an updated look and a familiar engine.

Bajaj Auto has reintroduced the Pulsar 180 in India, marking the return of a popular nameplate to its lineup. Priced at ₹1.22 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the motorcycle fills the gap between the Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 220F range.

The Pulsar 180 was discontinued in 2022, leaving a noticeable space in Bajaj’s commuter-sport portfolio. Its comeback aims to strengthen the brand’s presence in the mid-capacity segment with a balance of performance and affordability.

Powering the motorcycle is a 178.6 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 16.7 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 15 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. While peak power remains unchanged compared to the earlier model, torque has seen a marginal increase. The output also places it above the Pulsar 150, offering higher performance for riders seeking an upgrade.

The Pulsar 180 benefits from recent updates introduced across the classic Pulsar range. These include a new LED headlamp and a negative LCD instrument cluster, enhancing both visibility and modern appeal. The bike continues to use a telescopic front fork and twin rear shock absorbers.

Braking duties are handled by a 280 mm front disc and a 230 mm rear disc, supported by ABS. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch wheels with tubeless tyres and offers a fuel tank capacity of 15 litres. It has a kerb weight of 156 kg and a ground clearance of 165 mm.

Available in a single variant, the Pulsar 180 is offered in five colour options, including black-gold, black-blue, black-grey, black-red and white. At ₹1.22 lakh, the model is priced ₹12,000 higher than the Pulsar 150, while undercutting its primary rival, the TVS Apache RTR 180, by around ₹4,000.
