The cut positions Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z as the most affordable 40 bhp motorcycle currently on sale in India.
Bajaj Auto has revised the price of the Pulsar NS400Z downward to ₹1.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), following a reduction in GST on the motorcycle to 18 per cent, the company announced on Thursday. The cut positions it as the most affordable 40 bhp motorcycle currently on sale in India. The bike is powered by a 349cc liquid-cooled engine producing 40.6 bhp, with a power-to-weight ratio of 247 bhp per tonne.
Bajaj says buyers stand to save up to ₹24,500 in total when accounting for the lower ex-showroom price, reduced insurance premiums and lower registration costs, making the Pulsar NS400Z a more accessible proposition for riders seeking genuine performance.
The NS400Z retains its existing feature set, which Bajaj positions as the most comprehensive in its segment. It includes four riding modes, a quick-shifter, traction control, dual-channel ABS, radial tyres and a Bluetooth-connected instrument console.
"The Pulsar NS has always stood for accessible performance and bold riding experiences. With the new Pulsar NS400Z powered by a 349cc engine, we are taking a significant step towards making high-performance motorcycling more attainable.
"By passing on the benefits of lower ownership costs, including the 18% GST advantage, we are delivering the same thrilling NS experience with a more compelling value proposition. This reinforces our commitment to making Pulsar more inclusive, relevant, and 'Definitely Daring' for today's riders.," Sarang Kanade, President of the Motorcycles Business Unit at Bajaj Auto, said in a statement.
