Both the bZ3C and the bZ3X are an extension of the bZ Sport Crossover and the bZ FlexSpace Concepts that debuted last year.
At the ongoing 2024 Beijing Motor Show, Toyota unveiled two new electric vehicles – bZ3C and bZ3X – an extension of the concepts bZ Sport Crossover and bZ FlexSpace that debuted last year. Although details about their respective powertrains are still under wraps, both will be available with advanced driver assistance systems with minimalistic design for the cockpit with touch-based control for most functions. The exact launch date will be announced in a few weeks, and the cars will debut in China by next year.

Toyota developed the bZ3C in collaboration with BYD-Toyota, FAW-Toyota, and the company’s Intelligent ElectroMobility R&D Center. Being a crossover, the bZ3C boasts a sophisticated design that looks similar to the Prius and bZ4X that are sold in the global market. The front section is adorned by sleep and sharp LED DRLs neatly integrated at the edge of the bonnet. A single swooping LED tail light, aero wheels, and flush door handles are some of the exterior design highlights of this crossover.

Keeping matters simple and clean is the new huge floating central infotainment screen. All the controls inside the cabin can be toggled from this infotainment unit.
The bZ3X gets a comparatively larger body and looks more like a minivan. The exterior design is similar to the bZ3C’s crossover-inspired design, with similar slim headlamps, flush-fitting door, and LED strip at the rear. The cabin of the bZ3X is also similarly spacious, with a very neat and clean design, and a huge central infotainment display. A wide panoramic sunroof is another highlight of the cabin.

More details, especially about the EV battery capacity, range, and price will be revealed soon. And while Toyota is yet to start its EV journey in India, the chances of these two new EVs launching are very slim.
