The next-generation iX3 represents a complete reimagining of BMW's electric SUV approach, built from the ground up on the company's dedicated Gen6 electric architecture. Unlike its predecessor, which was an electrified version of the conventional X3, this model showcases BMW's commitment to purpose-built electric vehicles with advanced technology and superior performance capabilities.

Impressive Range and Charging Technology

The standout feature of the new iX3 is its exceptional 800-kilometre range on the WLTP cycle, addressing one of the primary concerns of electric vehicle adoption. The SUV incorporates BMW's revolutionary 800-volt charging architecture, enabling ultra-fast charging capabilities. In just 10 minutes of charging, the iX3 can add 350 kilometres of range, making long-distance travel more practical than ever.

The vehicle's advanced battery technology features 20 per cent higher energy density compared to BMW's previous generation cells, while the new cylindrical lithium-ion batteries are structurally integrated into the vehicle's architecture for enhanced strength and weight optimisation.

BMW's Expanding Electric Portfolio

The iX3 launch forms part of BMW's aggressive electrification strategy, with the company planning to introduce multiple new electric models across its line-up. BMW Group aims to deliver more than 10 million fully electric vehicles worldwide by 2030, with 2025 marking the beginning of the Neue Klasse era. The company has already established itself as India's leading luxury EV brand for three consecutive years, delivering over 5,000 electric vehicles and maintaining an 18 per cent EV contribution to total sales.
