In a remarkable display of India's growing appetite for electric vehicles (EVs), the fully electric BMW iX1 made its debut today and promptly sold out for the entire year 2023 within just a few hours. The swift and enthusiastic response from Indian consumers highlights the increasing demand for eco-friendly mobility options in the country. Although BMW India did not reveal the exact figure, its dominance in the electric luxury segment has been further cemented with its diverse electric portfolio, including the BMW iX1, BMW i7, BMW iX, BMW i4, and the MINI SE.

Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India said, “It is thrilling to receive such an extraordinary response for the first fully electric BMW iX1. Being sold out completely on launch day itself is a great debut for the iX1 in India.”
Bookings for the highly anticipated BMW iX1 were exclusively opened online earlier today, attracting an overwhelming demand from prospective buyers. The vehicle was launched as a completely built-up unit at Rs. 66.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The surge in interest in the BMW iX1 underscores a growing shift towards sustainable transportation in India.

While the initial wave of enthusiasm has resulted in a sold-out status for the iX1 in 2023, BMW Group India has assured customers that they are working tirelessly to meet the growing demand.
