BMW Motorrad Clocks Highest Ever Sales In India

2023 turned out to be a smashing year for BMW Motorrad India. The German two-wheeler giant announced today that it recorded its highest ever annual sales in India. BMW Motorrad sold 8,768 units in our country in 2023 which is an impressive 20 percent growth compared to its sales in 2022. Unsurprisingly the BMW G 310 family contributed the highest in the overall sales figures. In fact, the G 310 models clocked 19 percent sales growth in comparison to 2022.

One of the key reasons for the rise in the popularity of the 310 cc platform is the price correction done by BMW and also the introduction of the BMW G 310 RR. What makes the sales performance of the German brand more noteworthy is the fact that CBU (completely built-up units) witnessed a sales jump of 33 percent. The most popular big bikes from BMW Motorrad India were the GS adventure and the S 1000 RR superbike.

Moving further, BMW Motorrad India also announced that it will be adding 17 new touch points in 2024. The addition in its dealership network will open new markets for the German brand and thereby increase its sales further. Among the new big ticket launches for 2023 is the arrival of the BMW G 1300 GS. While we don’t have a clear launch timeline, we expect the BMW ADV bike to make its India debut in the first half of 2023.
