The three new models range in price from ₹2,499 to ₹9,990 and are available online as well as authorised retailers.

Boat, the electronics and accessories brand, has now ventured into the aftermarket dashcam space with its new Hive series. The three new models range in price from ₹2,499 to ₹9,990 and are available online as well as authorised retailers. The company sees an opportunity in the market, as more people become aware of the need for recording their journeys for clear evidence and peace of mind in case of accidents or other incidents, as well as speeding up insurance claims.

The three models, E1, M1, and F1, are equipped with sensors to detect motion and sudden stops, continuous loop recording and automatic emergency triggers, and supercapacitors for power. They are aimed at first-time users and daily commuters who see an add-on dashcam as a necessity rather than a luxury accessory. Wi-Fi support allows for quick access to recorded footage on a smartphone.

Boat also states that all three models are easy to install and suitable even for small cars, designed to avoid obstructing a driver's field of view. They are manufactured in India. They are all equipped with microSD slots and support up to 256GB or 512GB Class 10 cards, with optional cloud service integration.

At the entry level, the Hive Dashcam E1, priced at ₹2,499, offers 1296p video quality, slightly higher than full-HD resolution, with a 126-degree field of view.

The Hive Dashcam M1 costs ₹4,499 and records video at 2K QHD resolution. It has a 140-degree lens that the company says covers up to six lanes of any road. It also has built-in GPS to help drivers track speed and routes.

The top-end Hive Dashcam F1 features dual-channel recording with a 4K Sony Starvis IMX 335 sensor for the front and a 1080p full-HD rear camera. The front sensor promises improved low-light performance and clarity, and has a 150-degree wide lens. Integrated ADAS functionality means drivers can get real-time voice alerts for situations such as lane departures and potential forward collisions. It has an integrated 2.4-inch IPS screen for quickly reviewing footage. It also offers voice control and GPS route logging.

The boAt Hive Dashcam series is designed not just for recording journeys, but for reinforcing driver confidence. By providing reliable visual evidence, the dashcams assist with legal clarity, accident disputes, and seamless insurance claims. With onboard microSD storage, smartphone app connectivity, optional cloud integration, and intelligent parking surveillance powered by motion detection and G-sensor triggers, boAt Hive ensures protection even when the vehicle is unattended.
