BSA Scrambler 650 Launched at ₹3.25 Lakh

Classic Legends has officially expanded its premium portfolio today with the launch of the BSA Scrambler 650 in India. It is priced starting at ₹3.25 lakh (ex-showroom).

This new entrant is set to challenge the dominance of the Royal Enfield Bear 650 with its authentic retro-scrambler styling. With a wet weight of 218 kg and a seat height of 820 mm, it aims to attract enthusiasts looking for a versatile modern classic that can handle both urban commutes and winding trails.

The Scrambler 650 stays true to BSA’s heritage while incorporating rugged, off-road focused elements. Key design highlights include a high-mounted front fender, a wide handlebar with a reinforcing brace, and classic wire-spoke alloy rims. The motorcycle also features side number plates and a teardrop fuel tank that pays homage to the scramblers of the 1960s.

At its heart lies a 652 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder DOHC engine that delivers a maximum power of 44 bhp at 6500 rpm and a peak torque of 55 Nm at 4000 rpm. This unit is paired with a 5-speed transmission and a slip-and-assist clutch for smoother transitions.

It features 41mm telescopic front forks and twin shock absorbers with 5-step adjustable preload. Braking is handled by Brembo callipers biting down on a 320 mm front floating disc and a 255 mm rear disc, supported by dual-channel ABS that can be switched off for off-road use.

This is the second bike in BSA's portfolio in India, the other one being the Gold Star 650. Classic Legends supports the Scrambler 650 with an extensive protection plan, offering a 4-year standard warranty (extendable to 6), 8 years of breakdown help, and a 5-year maintenance contract through a network of over 400 locations.
