The Atto 3 also gets a new black paint option but remains mechanically unchanged.
BYD has refreshed the Atto 3 for the global market, and the updates include a new paint scheme and a new touchscreen. However, there are no changes to the electric SUV mechanically. The Atto 3 is one of the highest-selling models for the Chinese marque globally, including in India. Acko Drive has reached out to BYD India regarding the updated Atto 3’s India launch and we will update the story once we get a response.

The updates Atto 3 gets a new Cosmos Black paint option, and along with that, it gets a blacked-out trim. BYD has replaced the chrome window surrounds and the textured D pillar insert with gloss black elements. The Atto 3 now only gets the ‘BYD’ lettering on the tailgate, instead of the ‘Build Your Dreams’ lettering on the outgoing car.

The bigger updates are to the interior of the Atto 3. The electric SUV’s 12.8-inch rotating infotainment touchscreen has been replaced by a 15.6-inch rotating unit from the recently launched Seal EV. Furthermore, it gets a new Blue and Black interior theme in addition to the existing Blue and Beige theme. There aren’t any other cosmetic changes in the updated Atto 3.

The Atto 3 packs a 60.48 kWh Blade battery that has a claimed range of 521 km (ARAI) on a single charge. With a DC fast charger, it can charge from 0-80 per cent in 50 minutes. The single electric motor mounted on the front axle produces 201 bhp and 310 Nm. The Atto 3 can do a 0-100 kmph run in 7.3 seconds (claimed).

Currently, the Atto 3 is priced at ₹33.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and rivals the likes of the MG ZS EV. BYD India has three models in its product portfolio. Along with the Atto 3, it sells the e6 MPV and the Seal sedan and their prices start at ₹29.15 lakh and ₹41 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
