BYD eMAX 7 electric MPV India Launch Soon

BYD India has announced the name of its upcoming electric MPV which will be the next generation of the e6. The Chinese auto giant has announced that the e6 facelift will be called the eMAX 7. BYD says the ‘e’ in the name stands for electric with ‘Max’ representing the enhanced performance, range and features of the new MPV and the ‘7’ signifies the generation change. 

However, BYD India has only mentioned that the eMAX 7 will launch in India soon but hasn’t divulged any timeline. Expect the upcoming electric MPV from BYD to launch in the coming weeks, ahead of the festive season.

Details about the eMAX7 remain under wraps but expect it to be an improvement over the e6 MPV. The outgoing electric MPV comes with a 71.8 kWh battery with a claimed range of up to 520 km on a full charge. Furthermore, the eMAX 7 will likely come with more features than the e6, such as the 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen that does duty in the Seal sedan. Expect the eMAX 7 to be priced around ₹32 - 34 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
