Gamers can look forward to enhanced performance with the new Omen Transcend line of gaming notebooks.

HP has made a significant announcement at CES 2024, launching its Omen Transcend line of gaming notebooks. These powerful machines are equipped with Intel's top-of-the-line Core Ultra 9 185H chipset and offer options for Nvidia's discrete graphics, going up to the GeForce RTX 4070 GPU. Gamers can look forward to enhanced performance, thanks to the integration of Intel’s OpenVino platform, which promises smoother game streaming and FPS improvements.

Battery efficiency is a standout feature, with HP claiming a 7% improvement in full power mode and up to 20% in ECO mode. The notebooks’ cooling system is a key highlight, featuring a redesigned frame with a vapour chamber for efficient heat dissipation. This design is a result of HP's collaboration with Intel, aiming to create the coolest 14-inch gaming laptop available.

The Omen Transcend series also impresses with its display and design. The laptops feature a 2.8K, 120Hz VRR OLED display with IMAX certification, ensuring vivid and immersive visuals. Unique to this series is the world's first lattice-free sky printed RGB keyboard. Despite these premium features, the laptops maintain a lightweight and ergonomic design, with the 14-inch model weighing only 1.63 kg and boasting up to 11.5 hours of battery life. Audio quality is enhanced by HyperX, the PC peripherals company acquired by HP.

The larger Transcend 16.1 model ups the ante with a 4K 240Hz OLED display option and Intel Core i7 HX processors, a feature also found in the Victus 16.1 model.

HyperX has also introduced several new products. These include the HyperX Cloud III wireless headset with 2.4Ghz ULL connectivity for seamless PC-console switching, and the HyperX Cloud Mini headsets, targeting a younger audience and available in both wired and wireless options. The HyperX Clutch Tanto Mini Wired Controller is lightweight and compatible with various platforms, excluding PlayStation and iOS/macOS.

New HyperX branded keyboards and the HyperX Pulsefire Haste 2 Mini compact gaming mouse have been launched, offering up to 100 hours of battery life. Additionally, HyperX has released new Knight and Delta gaming backpacks.

In the gaming display segment, HP has introduced the Omen Transcend 32 UHD 240Hz OLED gaming monitor, featuring switchable USB ports, 140W USB Type C power delivery, and HyperX-tuned audio. The monitor boasts an impressive 1,500,000:1 contrast ratio, a 240Hz refresh rate, 0.3 ms response time, and Dolby Vision support for compatible games. It's the first VESA Display HDR certified panel with true ball 400 technology, offering enhanced dynamic range and HDR performance.
